Known as the first female artist signed to Def Jam South East Asia; SYA’s journey began back in 2019 when she dropped her first ever freestyle to KIKA that went viral on Twitter. As she was gaining momentum over her freestyles online; she caught the attention of Malaysia’s Hip Hop icons SonaOne and Joe Flizzow which ultimately led her to being signed under Def Jam SEA as of early 2020. Wasting no time in making her presence known, her first single, PrettyGirlBop marked the beginning of her evolutionary journey; followed by Madame in 2021.

Within just a few years, SYA has already achieved quite a feat. Being named Forbes 30 under 30 Asia for Sports & Entertainment category, Prestige Malaysia's 40 Under 40, and Lifestyle Asia's 100 Rule Breakers in 2022.

Showing no signs of stopping, SYA made her debut as an independent artist with her latest drop 'GLORY' which catapulted her music journey even further. Gaining high rotations and listens on radios and music streams.
